More tweets than posts…

Maybe because it’s easier to tweet than write a decent length post but I seem to be tweeting more than posting these days. Shows up worst here on the blog front page with all these ‘latest tweets’.

All too easy to just use one web tool to post to facebook/twitter/blog these days.

Anyway, been a busy weekend of things – Lost was excellent last night. Just as well we watched the catchup because I totally forgotten about the nuclear bomb! Not sure where it is going at the moment since we seem to have a bit of parallel existance going on.

Heroes to catch up with next.

Final Season of Lost

Looking forward to a lazy evening watching the first couple of episodes of the final Lost season. Need to watch the resume of the previous series first as I’ve forgotten a lot of it! Quite a busy weekend half over but hopefully all good.

Good old BBC

Isn’t the BBC marvelous – could make my dinner this evening and watch Eastenders live on the web on the laptop. No TV in the kitchen you see…

Okay, my choice of program was quite limitted, but it’s bubblegum for the brain.

The Wire

We received The Wire : Complete HBO Season 1 [DVD] as a pressie from chums (at Christmas I think…). Wasn’t a series we had ever really come across but was purchased as we were known to be fans of “24″. Anyway, first episode was a bit hard to get into but since then we have whizzed through several episodes a night. It’s set in Baltimore following a hotch-potch police team set up to tackle the drug dealing that appears rife!

Very gritty/graphic but well played by an unknown cast. Its an 18 cert so plenty of swearing/violence/nudity, but all in its appropriate place…

Only another 4 seasons to go if we feel the need.

Some good reading

I’ve been reading The Lord of the Rings for the past week or so for the first time since I was at school (over 20 years ago!!!)

Having seen all the films (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Extended Edition Box Set)) when they came out and then asking Santa for the DVDs as they came out it is the movies that are stuck in my head. The books are fantastic though – so much more detail and a few things I couldn’t remember from the books that weren’t in the films. Like I say, it was 20+ years ago!

Heartily recommend having another read if you have seen the films. I’m going to rerun the films once I’ve finished the 3rd book.

More sunny days!

Who would have thought I could be writing about sunny weekends after two consecutive ones?

Lazy weekend mostly – although headed to the flicks to see Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Pretty much as expected, typical Indy movie, lots of unbelievable action from Harrison Ford and the cast. Doing pretty well for a 65 year old!
